1st Logo

Logo: On a black background, we see: ELLIPSE in white. Then an orange line comes down from the word "ELLIPSE", and stops at the middle of the word. "PROGRAMME" appears below.

  • A version has the same text, but a green line and "ANIMATION" where "PROGRAMME" should be.
  • On Zorro (the early-1990s TV series), the logo was on a black background and was all white (with no line) inside a white box. This variant was totally still.
  • On The Adventures of Tintin, the word "PROGRAMME" fades in late.

FX/SFX: The line sliding inside the text.

Music/Sounds: None, just the end theme of the show.

Availability: Rare. The "Ellipse Programme" variant is seen on Nickelodeon's Doug and The Adventures of Tintin, and the "Ellipse Animation" variant appeared on The NeverEnding Story on HBO Family, Rupert on Qubo, and Blazing Dragons on Toon Disney (now Disney XD). Most of these shows are not seen on TV anymore, but it's preserved on the first series on DVD, VHS, iTunes and sporadic airings on The 90's Are All That block on TeenNick, and the latter series can be found on DVD from Shout! Factory.

Scare Factor: None.

2nd Logo (2000-2004)

Logo: On a white background, we see a black box in the middle of the screen that has the stylized text "ELLIPSANIME" in it. A dot is launched into the air by the "I" in "ELLIPS", before heading to the "I" in "ANIME", while another dot appears on the "I" in "ELLIPS". The dots bounce for a moment before settling down.

FX/SFX: The dots bouncing.

Music/Sounds: None, or the closing theme of a show

Availability: The silent variant can only be seen in Hubert: The Series. After that, it was appeared on intros of Potlach. The website byline appeared on Léonard. The version with the closing theme is taken from Chickentown and 2000 revival of Babar. The logo wasn't seen on Nick & Perry, because this copies on companies of episodes as another one of a company.

Scare Factor: None.
